Herzenberg Wins Goodman Leadership Award
Last night, it was my honor to be on hand to accept an award on behalf of the late Joe Herzenberg.
At a ceremony at the American Tobacco complex, Joe received a Goodman Award for outstanding regional leadership for an elected official. Joe won this award in recognition of the contribution he made to the region by becoming NC's first openly gay elected official. That election broke down barriers in NC for the LGBT community and helped make the Triangle region a more tolerant place.
Kudos to Joe Herzenberg!
